The Creation

1 ^(A)In the beginning ^(B)God ^(C)created the heavens and the earth.

²⁰ For ^(A)since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ^(B)being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. ²¹ For even though they knew God, they did not ^[a]honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became ^(C)futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

The Works and the Word of God.

¹⁴ For when Gentiles who do not have ^[a]the Law ^[b](A)instinctively perform the requirements of the Law, these, though not having ^[c]the Law, are a law to themselves, ¹⁵ in that they show ^(B)the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,

^28 (A)Father, glorify Your name.” Then a ^(B)voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” ²⁹ So the crowd who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “^(C)An angel has spoken to Him!” ³⁰ Jesus responded and said, “^(D)This voice has not come for My sake, but for yours.

^18 (A)Then Moses said, “Please, show me Your glory!” ¹⁹ And He said, “^(B)I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and ^(C)I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion to whom I will show compassion.” ²⁰ He further said, “You cannot see My face, ^(D)for mankind shall not see Me and live!” ²¹ Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place ^[a]by Me, and ^(E)you shall stand there on the rock; ²² and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and ^(F)cover you with My hand until I have passed by. ²³ Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but ^(G)My face shall not be seen.”

1 ^(A)In the beginning was ^(B)the Word, and the Word was ^(C)with God, and ^(D)the Word was God.

The Word Made Flesh

¹⁴ And ^(A)the Word ^(B)became flesh, and ^(C)dwelt among us; and ^(D)we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of ^(E)grace and ^(F)truth.

⁸ But God ^(A)demonstrates ^(B)His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, ^(C)Christ died for us.
